The project
The acquisition of the Desio store into the chain's property portfolio involved the complete refurbishment of the building.
In addition to a new appearance, the electrical, mechanical and food refrigeration systems were entirely redesigned.
A central heating and cooling plant produces the fluids serving the chilled display cabinets and food storage cold rooms.
The plant also produces the fluids used for cooling the spaces in summer. Its recovered waste heat is used to produce fluids for winter heating and domestic hot water.
The electricity supply is at medium voltage, with distribution through main and secondary switchboards located at strategic points throughout the building.
The property has a photovoltaic installation designed specifically to reduce consumption, as the building is effectively all-electric.
All systems are supported by an advanced BMS for monitoring and managing the entire building and its automated functions.
